Portrait and Wedding Day Make-Up
Things that you should keep in mind when you are getting your make-up done:
- Classic, fresh and natural looks are always best – so you don’t look dated in 10 years time
- The make-up is meant to enhance your features, not hide them!
- Make-up should be applied with the camera in mind
- Bright photographic lights tend to drain away facial colour
- A matte finish is better than a shiny look. A matte look will last longer and shininess only helps to accentuate skin problems and wrinkles
- Open and accent your eyes with contrasting shade colour. Don't use a lot of colour – again, a classic look is always best so your precious images don’t date
- If you are a more mature bride, do not use under eye shadow, especially if you have dark circles under the eyes. Eye shadow under the eyes will reflect a shadow and this must be avoided in photographs
- Use a professional make-up artist who understands application of photographic make-up
